Our datacenter Maintenance staff will be performing an electrical maintenance/upgrade in our Scranton facility during the hours of 7AM to 5PM EST on Tuesday, July 14th, 2009. At this time, The datacenter Maintenance Staff will be replacing an older Powerware 9315-Series 160KVA UPS with a brand new 275KVA 9395-Series model, and the associated larger maintenance bypass, breakers, & wiring required for such.
This repair can be service affecting, however, it will not affect all clientele in the Scranton facility, or the network as a whole, but will affect approximately 15-20% of the servers in the facility (the same portion of the facility/servers affected by the emergency maintenance on April 4th 2009). The actual downtime is estimated to be approximately one hour, to occur between 7AM-9AM EST, after which time non-UPS protected power will be restored. The remainder of the maintenance window will be for final installation and turn up of the new UPS, after which time protection will be restored. This is the final maintenance expected for this portion of the facility/servers. The datacenter will have staff on-hand to bring affected servers back online following the power restoration.
We thank you for your patience and understanding with this necessary maintenance/upgrade, as well as for your continued business!
